Meet the staff
FUNDEF has ten staff who are committed to working with Timorese communities to build a more peaceful Timor. They come from many different districts of Timor, and have studied a variety of disciplines and aspects to Timor-Leste’s development. As a group they bring a very diverse local perspective to their work. Each of them are also part of the young generation of Timorese that make up the majority of the country’s population and its future. FUNDEF is a team of passionate, hard-working and dedicated staff.

​Carlos M. Goncalves
Director
Carlos, originally from Bobonaro, is passionate about developing Timor-Leste’s infrastructure and promoting peace. Carlos has successfully led many of FUNDEF’s capacity building projects, using his degree in Architecture and Engineering from Peace University in Timor (UNPAZ), and engineering, management of instuitional, leadership management and peacebuilding training in Indonesia.
Feliciano de J. G. Aleixo
Program Manager
Feliciano (Felis) hails from Ermera, and dreams of being the best facilitator possible. Felis is completing his Bachelor Degree in Education from the National University of Timor-Leste (UNTL) in 2018, and has a strong interest in language education, relationship-building, and facilitating.


Rosalino dos Santos
Project Officer (Agri)
Rosalino (Lino) is from Liquisa. He is really interested in contributing to developing agriculture in Timor -Leste. He graduated technical school in agriculture in Natarbora in 2007. Lino works with communities in Liquisa to plant and protect mangroves. In the future he hopes to continue working with FUNDEF on strengthening agriculture.

Inacia de Jesus Goncalves
Finance Officer
Inacia (Ina) has been the financial whiz of the organisation since 2012. Ina is originally from Cova Lima and joined FUNDEF in 2012. She is currently studying Accounting at UnPaz and supports projects by developing budgets, tracking spending, and providing other financial advice.
Teofilo Martins

Senior Project Officer (CB)
Teofilo (Teo) keeps the Dili training centre going. He teaches the administration and computer classes, manages the day to day running of the school and is the all round IT guy for the organisation. He plans to study technology infomatic at University one day.

Anacleto Pereira Goncalves
Facilitator (CB)
Anacleto (Amau) is committed to developing his and other young people’s language skills. Amau currently teaches computers and basic English classes and keep the FUNDEF website up to date. He hopes to further his English language education in the future.
